Australia is a multicultural country with a rich Indigenous history that spans over 65,000 years. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are the oldest continuous cultures in the world and have a deep connection to Country. To recognise and celebrate Australia’s First Nations people, the Australian team will wear uniform showcasing artwork by Kaurna, Narungga, Ngarrindjeri, and Wirangu woman Gabriel Stengle.

Australia has competed in every Netball World Youth Cup since the inception of the tournament in 1988. Australia has won the Netball World Youth Cup four times, the last time being in 2009. Many athletes from previous Australian 21 & Under teams have later represented Australia at the senior level as Diamonds. The Origin Australian Diamonds are currently ranked number one in the world and have won the Netball World Cup twelve times. Australia is excited to host the Netball World Cup in 2027.

Australia is a proud sporting nation with netball being one of the highest participation sports for women and girls.
